Our website is currently under maintenance. Please bear with us, we will be back soon.
If you have found injured wildlife, please email us at info@kwr.ie with a photograph or short video, your name, location, and phone number. This email address is monitored by volunteers 7 days a week, 8am to 11pm. All emails are responded to in a timely manner.
All reports of wildlife casualties are treated as urgent and advice on the best course of action will be provided based on your location as well as the species and condition of the animal.
Only contain a wild animal if you are sure it needs help or if advised to do so by a professional. Before and during transport, keep wildlife contained in a secure box lined with towels or fleece for grip and comfort.
Do not attempt to feed the animal unless you hear back from our team and are offered short-term care advice suitable for the animal’s species, age, and condition.
If you are ever unsure if an animal needs help, please email us. We will be happy to advise on the best course of action.
Do not attempt the capture of large birds and predatory mammals such as herons, gannets, swans, badgers, and foxes. These animals need to be contained by trained wildlife responders with appropriate equipment.
